What is GRS (Global Recycled Standard)?

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is a certification that verifies recycled content in a product and traces it through the supply chain, plus social and environmental criteria. GRS-certified footwear proves its recycled materials (e.g. rPET) are genuine and documented.

GRS certifies the percentage of recycled input, requires chain-of-custody documentation, and adds environmental and social processing criteria. It is third-party audited.

Brands use GRS to substantiate recycled-content claims and avoid greenwashing.

DOING can source GRS-certified recycled materials such as rPET mesh for sustainable lines where a buyer requires certified content.
